What we collect
- Browsing. Pages, spots, and type searches do not require an account. The server sees a normal web request (IP, browser) the way any site does. We do not run ad-tracking pixels on this catalog.
- Email watches (optional). If you ask us to email you when a melt or spot crosses a number you type, we store that email, the type or metal, the threshold, and a stop link. You can turn a watch off from the email. We do not use that address for a newsletter unless you also asked for one.
- ZIP (optional). If you enter a ZIP to find nearby coin shops, we remember it in a cookie and in this browser so the next type page can show shops. That ZIP is for the public CDXList directory, not a GPS track.
- My stack. The list of coins you add is stored in this browser only. We do not upload the stack unless you set an email watch on a total.
What we do not do
- No Melt Prices login. No password. No in-app purchase.
- We do not sell names, emails, or stacks to other dealers.
- We do not take a cut of a coin sale you make with a local shop.
Stop a watch
Every watch email has a stop link. You can also write us and we will turn it off. That is not a SpotPro account delete — Melt Prices has no shop account.
