Authorized 11 September 1947 by monetary decree: 40 mm, ley 0.900, 30 grams, 27 grams pure silver. Cuauhtémoc was the last huey tlatoani of Tenochtitlan, executed 1525. The coin is circulating silver, not a tiny gold CINCO PESOS Hidalgo.
